A Guide from Bee at Be Thai Massage, Earlsfield

“Which massage should I get?”

I’m Bee, and I’ve worked as a massage therapist for over 12 years. I believe the “best” massage isn’t the same for everyone. It’s very personal. One of my most recommended treatments is the Thai Combination Massage, because it’s so flexible. I blend stretching and pressure point work from traditional Thai massage with the long, relaxing strokes of oil massage. That way, I can adapt the pressure, style, and techniques to suit exactly what your body needs.

But first, I need to understand you, what you’re looking for and any health concerns you may have. My goal is always to give you a massage that’s not only relaxing or therapeutic, but also safe and tailored just for you.

So, when you visit my peaceful one-room studio in Earlsfield, here are the simple questions I’ll ask to help us find the best massage for you:

1. What Do You Want From Your Massage?

This is the most important question. Your answer helps me recommend the right treatment right away. Are you hoping for:

  • Deep relaxation and stress relief?

  • Try my Swedish Massage or Aromatherapy Massage.

  • Relief from tension, knots, or chronic pain?

  • A Deep Tissue or my flexible Thai Combination Massage might be just what you need.

  • More flexibility and energy?

  • Traditional Thai Massage with gentle stretching is ideal.

  • Targeted treatment for a specific area?

  • A Head Massage or Foot Massage can do wonders.

  • Safe and soothing care during pregnancy?

  • My Pregnancy Massage is designed especially for expectant mums.

Knowing your goal helps us create a massage experience that actually works for you.

2. Have You Had a Massage Before? What Did You Like or Not Like?

Whether you’re new to massage or a regular, your past experiences give me helpful insight.

  • First massage ever?

  • Don’t worry! I’ll guide you through the whole experience and make sure you feel completely at ease. A great place to start is my Thai Combination Massage, which gently blends stretches, acupressure, and oil massage. It’s a balanced way to experience different techniques in one session and find out what your body responds to best.

  • Had massages before?

  • Amazing! I’d love to know:

  • What kind of pressure do you prefer: light, medium, or firm? Do you like oil massages, or prefer staying clothed, like in Thai massage?

  • Have you enjoyed stretches or more static pressure work?

The more I know about what you enjoy (and what you don’t), the better I can tailor the session to you.

3. Tell Me About Your Body: Any Injuries, Concerns, or Lifestyle Factors?

This is where I listen closely because your body has a story.

  • Do you have any injuries or pain?

  • Old or new injuries help guide how I work. Whether it’s a sports injury, back pain, or chronic tightness, I adjust my techniques and avoid sensitive areas when needed.

  • Any ongoing concerns?

  • Neck stiffness from computer work? Headaches? Sore feet from long days standing? This info helps me focus on where you need the most relief.

  • What’s your daily lifestyle like?

  • Are you active? A runner? Sitting at a desk all day? Athletes may benefit from Sports Massage techniques (which I can include in a Deep Tissue or Thai Combination session). Office workers often need extra attention on the back, neck, and shoulders.

At Be Thai Thai Massage, I’ve learned that the best massage is the one that truly fits you. With the right questions, care, and communication, I’ll help you find the perfect massage to relax, heal, and feel refreshed.

That’s one of the questions I hear the most, and it makes total sense! There are so many types of massages out there. Some places have ten or more on the menu, and it’s easy to feel unsure about which one is right for you.
